From the beginning, this series of work felt emotionally significant. I've been trying to put it into words for ages, but it's impossible to clearly articulate the tangle of recollections and emotions behind each piece. Harder still to explain how and why these recollections are fundamental to who I am.

I suppose if I were to try to define this series neatly, I'd say it's about the love and immense gratitude I feel for my family, the land and most importantly, memories -- for allowing us to revisit the people, places and moments we cherish most.

But it's about so much more than that...
